Lewis wrote this as radio broadcasts during the London Blitz. It is the most accessible case for Christianity ever put on paper.

He wasn't writing for people who already believed. He was writing for the skeptic who wanted a reason to look twice. Lewis himself was an atheist for most of his early life, and it shows. He doesn't assume anything. He starts from scratch and builds the argument one brick at a time, and by the time you realize where he's going, you're already most of the way there.
