QuestWell FAQ

Your news. No algorithm.

What is QuestWell?

A free, ad-free news feed for sports, tech, the outdoors, culture, gaming, faith, family and film. Your news. No algorithm. Sources picked by people, never ranked for clicks.

Is there a news feed with no algorithm?

Yes. QuestWell doesn't rank anything by clicks or time spent. Stories come from sources we chose by hand, arrive every hour, and pass through a filter for political clickbait and outrage. Stories are ordered by time and topic, not by popularity. See how we curate.

How is QuestWell different from other news apps?

Most news apps cover everything and use an algorithm to decide what you see. QuestWell uses a short list of sources picked by people, keeps political clickbait out, and doesn't personalize or rank by engagement. It's built for calm daily reading, not for following one breaking story.

Is QuestWell Christian?

We're Christian, and faith shapes what we pick. There's a Faith & Family section. But most of QuestWell is simply good reading about everything else, and anyone is welcome.

Is it family-friendly?

That’s the goal. We filter out outrage, crude content and betting coverage, and we pick things we’d be glad to share with any family. If something slips through, report it from the “…” menu and we’ll take a look.

Does QuestWell cost anything or show ads?

It’s free and ad-free. We never sell or share reader data. Tips help keep QuestWell running.

Does QuestWell write the articles?

No. Every story links to the publisher who reported it. QuestWell shows the headline and a short preview and sends you to the original.

Can I get your picks by email or RSS?

Yes. Sign up for our weekly email on the More page, and the full feed is at questwell.org/feed.xml.

Who runs QuestWell?

QuestWell is an independent, ad-free project. We keep personal names off the site because QuestWell is about the sources, not about who picks them. You can reach us through the Suggest page.

How do I suggest a source?

Use the Suggest page. We read every suggestion.
