Remembering Chip Conyers, a Protestant Saint

Chip Conyers embodied—like none other whom I’ve ever known—the central Christian belief that we are already living in the New Age, that the Kingdom of God is not an idealistic hope to be realized in some far-off time but a present reality.

Newly Independent Double Fine Has to Lay Off 23 Devs to Ensure Survival of the Studio

Only considered the move to make sure the team survives. Psychonauts developer Double Fine, having just returned to independence to avoid closure by Xbox, has been forced to let go of 23 employees to ensure the studio can stay afloat. The cuts were confirmed in a social media post from Tim Schafer, which read: "Today, Double Fine Productions let go of 23 members of our staff. As a small, tightly-knit team, these actions are not taken lightly. Only the survival of our studio would ever make us consider such a painful action. Our transition to becoming an independent company also means becoming a size that we can sustain." Read the full article on pushsquare.com

Should We Encourage People to Pray the “Sinner’s Prayer”?

Repentance and faith might be expressed the very first time in a prayer, but repentance and faith are not something that you just do once and never think about again.

South African Churches Reject Anti-Immigrant Violence

In the last weeks of August 2019, Nwanyieze, an immigrant from Nigeria, fell ill and couldn’t open her corner restaurant in a mall in the central district of Johannesburg. Poll: So, What Do You Think Of Halo: Campaign Evolved?

Is this your first Halo game? Halo: Campaign Evolved is finally out in the wild, and I can't get enough of it. Despite getting very early access weeks before launch, I still find myself hopping on to replay the campaign, remix levels, try out new Skull modifiers, and have a laugh with friends. It's such a blast! The remake feels like a proper refresh for Halo Studios and a solid foundation to build upon for the future entries in the series - as well as more remakes! This is the most fun I've had with a Halo campaign in quite some time, and it'll keep me satisfied until Gears: E-Day arrives later this year. Read the full article on purexbox.com

"You Might As Well Play On A Raspberry Pi" - The World Of MiSTer FPGA Remains Divided Over "AI Slop" Cores

"Turns the platform into a second class MAME". If you've been following the MiSTer FPGA scene recently, you'll no doubt be aware of the sharp rise in AI-assisted cores for the platform. We're currently witnessing a flurry of new cores that are apparently based on MAME rather than the original arcade boards, which, in the past, have been carefully deconstructed to produce the super-accurate FPGA cores that have made MiSTer so popular. How to Live and Die in Biological War

In the long shadow of COVID-19, the world once again knows what plague is like. Amid lockdowns and isolation, those years planted seeds of suspicion and fear: of other countries’ choices, of whether our neighbors were secretly sick, of little symptoms in our own bodies that could be signs of danger. Come on, John. If you're an avid reader of Push Square then you may remember a game called The Procession to Calvary, which I reviewed on PS4 back in 2021.
