Apple's annual iPhone event is now in the rearview mirror, but it still has many more products to announce later this year, according to rumors. Apple is expected to unveil the following eight products this year, although the MacBook Pro with an OLED display might not arrive until early 2027. With this many products still coming, Apple will likely hold an October event this year. iPad iPad mini: A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, an OLED display, a new speaker system without holes, and a water-resistant design. Apple debuted the A20 Pro chip in the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo earlier this week. Mac iMac: M6 chip and new color options. Apple announced the M6 chip last month. MacBook Pro: A new 14-inch MacBook Pro base model with an M6 chip. Why I Traded My Tent for a Glamping Trailer on My Last Hiking Trip
It’s not as wild as backpacking, and not quite as comfortable as staying in a cabin. But with easy trail access and built-in amenities, a teardrop trailer may be the best solution for hikers looking for a little luxury. THE FKT
I love walking in the forest. It felt like a very quintessential Pacific Northwest kind of day. I packed up camp and started hiking in my puffy jacket. The air is starting to get a little more chilly. A few miles into the hike we stopped at Ramona Falls. It had the same contrast as Obsidian Falls with the dark rocks and the white water, but it was much larger. I sat and stared for a while. ... The post THE FKT appeared first on The Trek.

Matt Mullenweg reportedly returns as Automattic CEO two days after getting booted
Two days after being placed on a paid leave of absence, Matt Mullenweg says he has been reinstated as CEO of Automattic, according to a Slack message seen by TechCrunch. As 404 Media reported on Wednesday, Mullenweg had told staff in Slack that CFO Mark Davies "conspired" with the board of directors, who voted to "put me on a paid leave of absence." (Mullenweg said he voted against that.) He also told staff that the board had voted for Davies to become interim CEO. Davies, in a separate message, said that Mullenweg would still be a board member, according to 404 Media. An Automattic spokesperson told The Verge that Mullenweg was "currently … Read the full story at The Verge.

When I Was a Boy
Things were different when he was a lad—back when nothing was artificial or contrived, and the days and seasons were filled with high adventure. iPhone Duo Can Do Split View, But Not Like Your iPad
Apple's iPhone Duo is the first iPhone that can run two apps side by side, but anyone expecting the sort of freedom that Split View offers on iPad might want to temper their expectations. Apple's iPhone Duo marketing materials talk up app pairs and side-by-side windows, but it doesn't mention anything about resizing them. There's a reason for that. If you put two apps side by side on the iPhone Duo's 7.6-inch foldable display, you can't drag the divider between them to make one app take up more space than the other. It's a fixed 50/50 split, regardless. That's likely to be a disappointment to anyone who's used Split View on the iPad. Indeed, iPad owners have been able to resize apps in Split View when in landscape mode ever since 2015 when iOS 9 introduced the feature. So why does Apple not let you resize apps on the iPhone Duo? It's likely down to the device's display geometry. Both the inner and outer displays share the same 1:1.4 aspect ratio, and each half of th
